Earth Day Volunteering at Phoenix Zoo

Want to help inspire Zoo guests and motivate them to care for the natural world? Join the Phoenix Zoo to help run messaging and activity booths that are fun and educational for the whole family. Get hands on with fun, earth-friendly activities that will help improve the future of the environment and all of its creatures by learning to Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle!

The event will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 with two primary shifts available; 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or Noon - 4:30 p.m.

 All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age or older.

We are focused on how the campus sustainability community can break down walls, build bridges, and continue to make progress toward a healthy and equitable future for all. Because of this, ASU will host a Town Hall. As leaders in building a culture of sustainability on campus, we want you to be part of the moving the “green” needle forward.

 

Town Hall: April 19th from 6PM – 8PM in the Memorial Union Room 230!!

Earth Day is about celebrating the Earth ’s services that we use each day and how we are sharing the effort to collectively protect its resources for future generations Earth Day is about celebrating the earth and celebrating how we are collectively protecting it.

Tabling Celebration: April 19th from 11AM – 2PM on Hayden Lawn

AZGFD Black Footed Ferret Spotlighting 2

The Black-footed Ferret Project will be hosting their spring spotlighting events in Aubrey Valley and on the Double O Ranch. Spotlighting will begin on Thursday night April 6th and conclude on Monday morning April 10th. Spring events are held to assess the ferret population after winter, to trap kits that were not caught in the fall, and to try and trap older ferrets that need a canine distemper or plague booster.
